The clash of Donegal and Tyrone hurlers recently saw an unexpected guest make his way onto the pitch, much to the amusement of the crowd.
By Declan Whooley
Dogs running around GAA pitches are is not exactly a new phenomenon, but is generally more associated with club games, though one instance of John Mullane carrying a dog off a pitch in a game against Limerick in 2007. There are other examples of course, but is far more common at club level.

However one eager canine interrupted the hurling match at Healy Park, and whatever about the far served up by the Northern counties, the performance of the dog seemed to entertain the crowd no end.
In the end it was the visitors Donegal who showed more bite, running out victors on a scoreline of 0-14 to 0-09. Tyrone will have to scoop themselves back up after tasting defeat again at the weekend, this time to Fingal at the same venue.
Cheers to Niall Jib Donnelly for the video.
