To score a hat-trick in any game is some achievement, to score it in less than five minutes is something special. 19 years ago today, Robbie Fowler did just that.
Arguably one of the best strikers and certainly one of the best strikers the Premier League has ever seen, ‘God’ himself was on top form during the 1994/95 season, his second most prolific campaign in the top flight with 25 goals in 42 league games.
Three of those came in a 4-3 win over Arsenal at Anfield on this day in 1994; the three goals in fact, were scored in four minutes and 33 seconds, which, 19 years on, remains the fastest ever Premier League hat-trick and will probably stay that way for some time yet.
Lots of people reminding me that 19 years ago today I scored fastest hattrick in prem… I won’t lie, hope it stays the fastest

Saying that, his efforts weren’t a patch on the exploits of Shelbourne’s Jimmy O’Connor, who took only two minutes and 13 seconds to score three goals against Bohemians in 1967.
Eat that, Fowler!
