Sure, the results didn’t go well and Roy Keane might have had a pop at our mentality, but this video gives a good account of what exactly it was like for most Irish fans at the Euros.

To be honest about it, a hell of a lot of Irish fan videos have made their way into JOE Towers over the last couple of weeks.

While the vast majority of them have been absolutely brilliant, there comes a point where we were afraid that the fans not lucky enough to be out there might become a little jealous of what they were missing out on.

Certainly, there were a few pangs of regret in the JOE office that we didn’t try and spend our lucrative JOE salaries life savings on the trip, but we shouldn’t begrudge those who did, we’re sure that they’ll be telling stories about their experiences for years to come and good luck to them.

The video above was sent into us earlier today by Niall Mulligan, whose mate Patrick Condon put together a fairly impressive compilation of the craic had by Irish supporters in Gdansk prior to the Spain game on Thursday.

Featuring Jack Sparrow, Packie Bonner crowd surfing and a girl who inadvertently whips off her bra in front of thousands of male supporters (don’t worry, she covers herself up immediately and manages not to expose herself to the camera), it’s well worth taking two and a half minutes of your time to appreciate the fun had before it all went t*ts up on Thursday night.
