Apart from Ronaldo’s name we have no idea what this guy is saying but dear Lord he’s excited.
It was hard not to get worked up about Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance last night after he scored a brilliant hat-trick to ensure Portugal’s progress to next summer’s World Cup and pretty much confirmed his status as the best player in the world this year.
There’s getting worked up, however, and going absolutely batsh*t crazy as this Portuguese commentator was entitled to do after each of Ronaldo’s goals against Sweden last night.
Our Portuguese is of the pidgin variety at best but we can hear quite a lot of ‘Obrigado Ronaldo, Obrigado Portugal’ (Thanks Ronaldo, thanks Portugal), a few cries of ‘Brazil’ and plenty of indecipherable yet undoubtedly joyous screaming from a man who must have seriously impressive lung capacity to have been able to pull it off.
