Just the thing to get you in the spirit for the big kick-off tonight.
Although watching some of the greatest goals scored in the history of the World Cup will never get old, it’s always great to see them from another perspective, whether it’s from a different angle or with an enthusiastic South American providing alternative commentary.
Just in time for the World Cup kick-off tonight, artist and filmmaker Richard Swarbrick (@RikkiLeaks) has produced a wonderful animated look at some of the famous goals in the history of the tournament, featuring the likes of Roberto Baggio, Michael Owen, Jurgen Klinsmann, Dennis Bergkamp, Carlos Alberto and, of course, Diego Maradona’s effort against England in 1986. It’s outstanding stuff.
