That lad deserves a professional contract for this catch alone.
Anyone who follows baseball closely will know that a game can go a long time without anything of note happening, but it’s worth sticking with it for the possibility of a shot being sent high into the crowd, a close call at home plate or some spectacular catching out the field.
That’s exactly what happened during the Minnesota Twins v Chicago White Sox game earlier this week but it was a ballboy rather than a fielder doing the spectacular catching when he showed ridiculous reflexes to grab a hold of a foul ball by the White Sox’s Alexei Ramirez, which would have sped into the stands were it not for his dramatic intervention.
