Players like Bruce Grobbelaar, Jens Lehmann and Rene Higuita are living proof that goalkeepers are indeed a crazy breed, but this guy takes the biscuit.

The incident in the video above took place during a Liga Roca semifinal between Deportivo Motokart (DM Kart) and Recreativo Estrellas in Argentina.

Recreativo ‘keeper Gabriel Orozco makes a decent save to thwart a DM Kart attack, but then flips the lid at the subsequent challenge from DM Kart’s Nicolas Cardinal, who was merely pouncing for a potential rebound.

We didn’t see anything untoward in the tackle, but Orozco thought otherwise and took a bite out of Cardinal’s face and then shuffled away without a care in the world.

Cardinal had a quite sizeable wound on his lower cheek as a result of Orozco’s savage cannibalism and was taken to hospital afterwards, presumably to prevent a possible rabies infection. Orozco, on the other hand, was eventually sent off.

After a lengthy five minutes of internet research, we were unable to find out who actually came out on top, but we’re pretty sure Cardinal certainly wasn’t the only player licking his wounds in the aftermath.
