Alessandro Del Piero has still got it since moving down under to Sydney FC as he proved last night against the Brisbane Roar.
The Italian striker who terrorised defences for Juventus for over fifteen years bagged two very different, if equally fantastic goals in the wee hours of this morning.
Del Piero has been slightly overshadowed by fellow foreign import into the Australia A-league Emile Heskey since his move, with Heskey bagging 5 goals for Newcastle Jets and Del Piero bringing his tally to three last night.
Del Piero scored one long range effort and another brilliant effort after he waltzed through the defence and finished superbly as you can see above.
Unfortunately his side still lost 4-2…but if the quality of goals counted for double Sydney FC would have drawn last night.
The Aussie commentator says at the end of this that “you can’t buy class” – well we think Sydney did a good job with Del Piero.
