Ukrainian international Oleg Husev was saved by opposition player Jaba Kankava after swallowing his tongue in a clash with the Dnipro goalkeeper on Sunday.

In this remarkable footage, which some may find disturbing, Husev jerks back to life after the quick thinking Kankava comes to his aid. Husev, the Dynamo Kiev captain, had collided with Dnipro goalkeeper Denis Boyko from a free-kick. Had Kankava not intervened the 30-year-old Husev's life would have been in serious danger. A young Jordanian player passed away after a similar incident late last year.
