We never tried keepy-uppy this way...

We never tried keepy-uppy this way…

When it comes to footballers and advertisements we think it’s safe to say that the results have been mixed at best. For every brilliant football ad, where the action actually takes place on the pitch, there have been some odd exceptions.

Wilfried Zaha’s shorts and Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest appearance on Japanese TV instantly spring to mind, however, this effort from ex-West Ham, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid striker Paulo Futre is right up there in the ‘mad as a bag of spiders’ category.

Pele had already warned us about the problems regarding erectile dysfunctyion but the ex-Portugal strikers ad for Libidium Fast, a rival company to Viagra, is upping the stakes.

The advert sees Futre showing off his keepy-uppy skills, before viewers are let into the secret of how the 48-year-old is managing to juggle the ball.

Although banned from TV, the video has already racked up almost 300,000 views on YouTube in it’s first four days online. Take a look.

That super slow-mo turn and wink to the camera will haunt JOE’s dreams for life. Still, impressive ball control all the same.
