He is a legend and the top scoring goalkeeper of all-time and this week Rogério Ceni was at it again.
The Sao Paulo goalie has been on the go since 1990 and has played more than a thousand games for his Brazilian club, while also playing for the Brazilian national team between 1997 and 2006, he was also in the Brazilian squad for the 2002 World Cup.
Ceni has already overtaken legendary Chilean keeper Jose Luis Chilavert as the top goalscoring ‘keeper of all time with over 100 goals to his name and at 39 years of age he is still adding to his collection of goals.
It was a great goal to belong in anyone’s collection as you can see in the video above and it came in Wednesday's Copa Sudamerica 2-0 victory over Bahia.
If the goal above doesn’t sate your fetish for goalscoring keepers you can check out the fairly comprehensive highlight reel of the Ceni’s career below.
In the meantime can someone shut up the auld lad in the Sky ad that keeps banging on about Tim Howard’s goal last season? The wind did just take the ball – Ceni’s goals aren’t flukes.
