Video: French rugby referee suffers horrific broken leg (don’t click if squeamish)

This video actually made the entire JOE office go ‘aggghhhh’ at the same time.

Earlier tonight we brought you this brutal assault on a referee in Brazil. Last week we brought you an awful leg break suffered by a St Etienne player in Ligue 1.

But both of those videos are beaten in the ‘gross’ stakes by this clip from the Top 14. Referee Mathieu Raynal was doing his thing in a game between Montpellier and Racing.

Unfortunately for the whistler, he got caught up in the action and suffered a completely accidental, but shocking, broken leg.
