The vastly over-rated Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner was forced into desperate measures when his credit card was refused at a pizzeria in Copenhagen recently.

Bendtner, currently on loan at the Black Cats from Arsenal, got all up in a huff when his credit card was refused and after staff refused his request for a freebie, he had to resort to begging other customers to do him a favour.

According to Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet, Bendtner didn’t take too kindly to having his credit card turned down and is alleged to have said to staff: “Don’t you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria.”

Obviously failing to recognise Bendtner as he recognises himself – as one of the greatest strikers in the world – the staff held their ground and were content to let him go hungry until two female customers took pity on him and bought him a slice.

According to one onlooker, the cocky striker was “fu**ing arrogant”.

“Bendtner acted as if he owned the place. All the people just stood and looked at each other and shook their heads over the way he behaved,” the onlooker added.

Footage of the incident can be seen below and although the quality is a bit sh*tty and the subtitles are in Danish, Bendtner’s overall crumminess still shines through.

We bet Martin O’Neill can’t wait to work with such a shining beacon of society.
