When they say ‘teaser trailer’, they really mean teaser trailer in this case.
The popular Showtime series is set to return for a third season in September and without wanting to give away anything to anyone who hasn’t yet watched the show or anyone who still hasn’t caught up with all of it, it’s pretty fair to say that the ending to Season Two was a dramatic one to say the least.
As we hinted at above, the trailer for Season Three gives precious little away as there is no actual footage, but instead it consists of a series of audio clips spliced together during which the voice of Brody (Damian Lewis) can be heard saying lines such as ‘Just take me to the next station’, ‘Does Carrie know I’m here?’ ‘No more’ and ‘It’ll help me, I’m a Muslim’.
The voice of high-ranking CIA man Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) can also be heard briefly but it really doesn’t give much away, perhaps appropriately enough considering the subject matter of the show; maybe it was intended that we should all figure it out for ourselves?
In any case, fans will have to wait another while before we actually find out what happens next as Homeland doesn’t return until late September, but hopefully it will mark a return to form for a show after the second season came under plenty of fire from a lot of critics and fans alike.
