Fans of The Office will have been delighted to see David Brent return in a teaser for the Equality Street music video a couple of weeks ago. Here it is in all its glory.
Ricky Gervais revived his most famous character for this year’s edition of Comic Relief, inspiring fans to travel back a decade and nostalgically recall the best moments from a series that only lasted for two six-episode seasons (along with a couple of Christmas specials) but is still regarded as one of the finest comedies of all time.
A teaser trailer was released at the end of last month of Brent in his new guise as a music promoter and appearing in a music video called ‘Equality Street’ featuring one of his acts, rapper Dom Johnson.
The video was broadcast in full as part of the Comic Relief coverage last night and, as expected, features lots of cringe-worthy classic Brent moments and definitely belongs in the so bad it’s hilarious category.
Brilliant.
