It wasn’t all doom and gloom amongst the RTE panel last night.
Dunphy, Giles and Brady were coming in for a lot of criticism on the Twittersphere for their reaction to Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Germany, but there were some positive aspects to their post-match analysis.
Brady was keen to single out David Forde for particular praise and although normally reserved and even a little bit dour, he couldn’t help but get excited when pointing out one particular example when Forde commanded his area with authority.
You’ll probably notice that the clip does not correspond with the example that Brady is talking about but such enthusiasm from Chippy is great to see all the same, especially considering that the general theme of the post-match discussion was far from overwhelmingly positive.
