Missing a panenka penalty is pretty humiliating as it is, but having the ‘keeper rubbing it in your face afterwards is ten times worse.

Professional footballers who have the balls to take a panenka penalty know the risks. Make the ‘keeper dive the wrong way while you dink the ball into the net and you’re a hero; miss and you’re made to look like an arrogant so and so in front of a pretty big audience.

Salgueiro FC’s Fabricio Ceara put himself in the latter category in Brazil recently when he tried to deceive the Vitoria goalkeeper but instead lofted the ball straight into his hands.

The ‘keeper seemed insulted that his opponent would even try something so cheeky and immediately rubbed his face on it by diving theatrically on the ground, instantly earning the acclaim of his team-mates in the process.

Next time Fabricio, try and do it like this...
