The old Northern Irish built DeLorean DMC-12 is a seriously cool car, but this DMC-12 hovercraft is easily the coolest version we've ever seen.

There’s a special place for the DeLorean in most petrol head’s hearts (especially Irish ones) so there’s no surprise to hear we were a tad excited when we heard there was an ultra rare DeLorean hovering around the US. Someone went to the painstaking task of converting a DMC-12 shell into a hovercraft and it looks spectacular.

Sadly, it doesn’t hover quite like Marty McFly’s hover board, but it’s close enough. Thankfully, someone in San Francisco managed to capture the beast in all its glory as it drove around the San Francisco bay and posted it online.

Take a gander for yourself and let us know if there’s a DeLorean out there that’s even better. We doubt there is...
