We’ve heard of towns going the extra mile with their Christmas light displays, but we’ve never heard of a display that could actually cause grave offence to the townsfolk.

And we doubt that is the case here either because we’re pretty sure it’s a hoax, but a video of Christmas lights, allegedly in Brighton, has gone viral in the last 24 hours thanks to the rather rude and graphic images being sent out by the usually innocent cast of illuminated Christmas characters.

Certainly, it would take quite a flight of imagination to think that any town council would approve of lights that appear to show a giant penis, an angel mimicking a sex act and a message that says ‘buy more shit’, but until it’s actually confirmed as a hoax, we’re happy to go along for the ride.

Seeing is believing after all.
