The GAA have listed their top five hurling points of 2012, but we think they have missed the point of the year.

To conclude the GAA’s excellent video wrap-ups of the year, here are HQ’s selection of the top five points from the small ball game of 2012.

All-Ireland champs Kilkenny have one nominee, courtesy of Henry Shefflin, while Padraic Maher ensures Tipp and Munster have one representative too.

Leinster champs Galway have three. A fine Joe Canning sideline cut, a tidy score by James Regan and a very nicely executed Niall Burke point.

But to our dismay David Burke’s ridiculous point in the Leinster final didn’t make the cut. Here it is below and how it was omitted we don‘t know.
