If you didn't know that the ongoing public sector strikes in the UK are 'wrong', let Labour leader Ed Miliband remind you, in identical fashion, five times.
In possibly one of the most cringeworthy interviews since Jeremy Paxman made former Conservative leader Michael Howard repeat a Newsnight answer on 12 occasions, Miliband expressed his disapproval to the BBC at the current UK government at public sector unions over this week's strikes in extremely rehearsed fashion.
Commenting on the hugely impactful strikes, which have closed nearly half of UK state schools, Miliband refused to take sides on the issue but also refused to elaborate, repeating the same answer near-verbatim five times in a two-and-a-half minute clip.
Specifically the term ‘The government has acted in a reckless and provocative manner', was used in each answer, with his robotic intonations even causing some online commentators to initially speculate whether the video was actually doctored. As you can see from this BBC link, it's exactly how the Q&A went down.
While some have jokingly asked whether or not Miliband gave his bizarre answers as a bet, our favourite current YouTube comment on the clip is pretty self-explanatory:
'I like the bit where he says that these strikes are wrong at a time when negotiations are still going on,? but that the government has acted in reckless an provocative manner, and that both sides should put aside the rhetoric and get around the negotiation table again.'
So will you. Have a look above.
