Things keep going from weird to even weirder at Cardiff City

According to reports from BBC Sport and a whole host of others, the Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has sent a letter in an email to Malky Mackay telling him that he must resign or be sacked, and outlining exactly where he feels the deficiencies lie with the team.

According to the BBC, “Tan criticised 41-year-old Mackay at length in a range of areas, such as signings, transfer budgets, results on the pitch and style of play.”

This isn’t the first time he’s made strange demands in his club after changing the colour of the jerseys as he believed red would be better luck, but this does seem to be a very poor attempt to get Mackay out of the club whilst at the same time not having to give him any sort of payout on the way out the door.

The question remains as to who would be willing to risk taking on the job when there’s a man with such strange methods at the head of the club, but the flip side of that argument is the fact that you will be given a sizeable transfer budget to work with, so we’re sure there will be a few CVs in the pile anyway. Certainly, it seems that Macakay’s situation is now completely untenable.
