All the other contenders can forget about it, this is the worst open-goal miss you’ll see this year or probably any year for that matter.
We wish we could defend Kaiserslautern’s Philipp Hofmann for this miss against Union Berlin last night. We wish we could say that the ball bobbled because of a divot on the surface or that the ball was played into him at a difficult speed but we can’t. This is just shocking.
