The lads at FIFA have put together the top ten fastest footballers in the world, and the number one is a bit surprising
When asked to name the fastest players in the world, most of us would instantly say Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, and a few of the other jinky wingers of the world game.
That said, it was a long and drawn out process when we had the obligatory guessing game here at JOE towers after we found out about these figures, and it was quite a while before anyone got down to mentioning who the number one was.
The lads at FIFA have put the data together on this one, so don’t blame us if you don’t agree.
Surprisingly, Antonio Valencia tops the chart as the comfortable winner, with 0.5km/h more in the locker than the second fastest player Gareth Bale. Does that mean Valencia is worth €120 million?
