Despite the fact that this wasn’t a title fight in the end, thanks to the fact the his opponent Che Mills didn’t make weight, that didn’t stop Pendred from getting an impressive win last night with a TKO in the third round.

However, it looks like that will probably be his last Cage Warriors fight, and he wasn’t shy about saying it as he called out Dana White after the win. Pendred asked the crowd “Who wants to see me fight in the UFC on August 17th in Boston?!” which was met with a huge cheer.

Despite all the fan fare, he made a subtle exit out the back of The Helix, but that smile couldn’t be wiped off his face.

He would certainly be a fantastic addition to the card, and a hugely popular one, and since last night, a Twitter campaign has started to petition White to get him included in the line-up for Boston.

After being on The MMA Hour earlier this week, Pendred stated a few things had been said to him regarding being signed up by the UFC if he won, as “it makes sense for me and it makes sense for them”.

We’ll certainly be watching in August anyway, as it looks like the “Irish are coming”, as Pendred himself tweeted.
