Video: 600 Gaeltacht students with a cup-tacular version of When I’m Gone from Perfect Pitch

I love it when a plan comes together.

I love it when a plan comes together.

There was a time when going to the Gaeltacht meant simply brushing up on the cúpla focail ahead of an exam year and trying to get the shift off someone from up the country during the few weeks spent out west.

Now, it seems as if they’re getting up to far more productive activities in Irish colleges, or at least they are in Coláiste Lurgan in Connemara, where 600 students and staff combined recently to perform a, well, pitch perfect version of ‘When I’m Gone’ or ‘The Cup Song’ from the movie Perfect Pitch.

As you’ll see above, it’s just as good if not better than the version sung by Anna Kendrick in the movie and it must be the most entertaining use of cups since the brilliant but fictitious card game of the same name in Friends all those years back.

Well played guys.

Cheers to our sisters at Her.ie for the heads up on this one.
