By the beard of Tubs! Have you seen tonight’s stellar lineup for The Late Late Show?

Songmen and Spacemen and Newsmen, oh my!

Eoghan Doherty

From starstruck young Domhnall meeting his hero Robbie Keane, to the world’s greediest audience member, The Late Late Toy Show had it all.

But tonight’s show is certainly going to give it a run for its money.

We’re big fans of Daniel O’Donnell here at JOE HQ, so when we heard that he was going to be making a special festive appearance on the iconic chat show, we thought that all of our Christmases had come at once… or that this Christmas had come very slightly early at least. Tuning into RTE 1 at 9.35pm was obviously a given.

I mean, just look at the man for God’s sake:

Our tiny little heads almost exploded with excitement, however, when it was announced that Ryan Tubridy will also be joined by none other than newscasting’s finest funnymen; the Channel 4 News Team. That’s right, Ron Burgundy and his boys will be joining the beanpole broadcaster to talk about the upcoming release of the much-anticipated Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Sure, it’s clearly a pre-recorded interview as we all know the lads were already in town to meet JOE earlier this week, but having the chance to see Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and the other one David Koechner kitted out in Ireland tops and talking all things funny is one opportunity that we certainly won’t be missing.

And, in the style of a late-night US infomercial voiceover man: “But wait! There’s more!”

As if Donegal and San Diego’s finest weren’t enough to whet your appetite, Tubs will also be talking to the world’s, and space’s, favourite all-singing, all-tweeting Astronaut, Commander Chris Hadfield.

Tell both of your friends that you’re not coming out tonight because you’ve got a date with the stars.
