We thought we had a problem with squad depth…
We’re all very much aware at this stage that Germany have been hit with a host of injuries ahead of tonight’s game against Ireland.
That added to the post-World Cup retirements has seen numbers stretched and the bench named by Germany boss Joachim Loew has highlighted the problem.
Two goalkeepers and four outfield players? We guess you can only make three subs but still, this is very unusual…
Germany have only five substitutes against the Republic of Ireland, two of them goalkeepers. Ireland have 12. pic.twitter.com/QwZblDimog

They surely have more than six players available for the bench?
