Know any of these?

There’s no denying that we’re all creatures of habit and while our tastes may be subjective, this doesn’t that mean publicans, hoteliers and restaurateurs don’t deserve some special recognition.

The 10th annual National Hospitality Conference and Awards have just announced their list of winners and there are certainly a few places that you’ll know.

Donehy & Nesbitt, located just off Stephen’s Green in Dublin, has been named as the best overall pub while Lowry’s Bar in Clifden won the award for best traditional bar.

The Wright Venue in Swords, Dublin was also a winner after the popular location won in the category of best nightclub.

Ashford Castle in Mayo continues to add to its impressive list of accolades after the 5-star hotel was named best overall hotel.

Holiday makers in Dingle might want to check out Castlewood House after it won the award  for best value hotel while Tankardstown House Hotel in Slane won the title of best boutique hotel.

It seems that venues in Dublin dominated the proceedings as The Westbury Hotel, adjacent to Grafton Street, won best city hotel, while the Dean Hotel – also located in the capital – was named as the best new establishment.
