Things aren’t going so well at Luas HQ.
In case you’ve been living under a very big rock with a very poor Wi-Fi and no 3G service, you’ll have heard all about the Luas strikes that have intermittently been causing commuters problems since February and look set to affect people’s Easter plans.
As is often the case with strikes, the strikers would like more money – but for ideological reasons, plenty of people out there don’t believe that these Luas drivers are entitled to more money, and of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But one guy who really loved workers, socialism and the idea that labourers are entitled to earn more money was Easter Rising leader James Connolly… which is what makes this tweet pretty damn funny.
I see the #Luas drivers are going on strike over the Easter weekend. Was it for this that men like Connolly died?
