VIDEO: Frightening assault on the Luas features in explosive documentary on RTE 2 tonight

Conor Heneghan

This looks like a must watch.

If you’re looking for something to watch on the box tonight, it will be well worth your while tuning into a documentary made by Motive Television, the team behind highly-regarded Irish documentaries such as The Notorious, Prison Families, Darndale and Dole Life.

‘I am Immigrant’, the second part of a three-part documentary series examining identity in Ireland, is a reflection of what it’s like to be an immigrant in 21st century Ireland.

Over a number of weeks, a documentary team followed a cross section of Ireland’s recent and less recent immigrants as they mused on the meaning of being Irish.

The documentary also features the frightening scenes that took place on the Luas when Chairman of Pegida Ireland and Identity Ireland Founder, Peter O’Loughlin and fellow Pegida members were assaulted on their way to launch the Irish branch of Pediga outside the GPO.

‘I am Immigrant’ airs on RTE 2 tonight at 9.30pm.
