Politician in Co. Down looks exactly like one of our favourite It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia characters

Paul Moore

Hey-ooo! This is uncanny.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans will fondly remember the episode ‘The Gang Runs For Office’ when Dennis puts his name forward for the position of local comptroller. Sadly things didn’t work out for the golden god but at least he learned a valuable lesson, politics is just one big ass blast.

The owners of Paddy’s Pub aren’t running for election in Co. Down but the doppelgänger of Liam McPoyle, one of our favourite supporting characters from IASIP, is vying for votes from constituents in the area.

Ok, don’t fork stab us just yet because these reports aren’t 100% true. Chris Eisenstadt is the candidate that’s on the ballot but there’s no denying that he bears an uncanny resemblance to actor Jimmi Simpson.

Here’s hoping that Eisenstadt’s campaign is based around the values of family, milk and fist bumps.

We’re waiting for confirmation that his campaign motto is in fact “start breaking bricks, wet nips”.

Here’s his election video…

…oh wait, this not it. The two men are so similar that we got confused.
