It’s Grand National day with the horses going to post at 5:15pm this evening and excitement is building.
People who don’t bet all year come out to try and make a quick buck in what is essentially a lottery and lots of people are trying to beat the bookies.
However, when this Irish fella working in Europe text his Mammy offering her a dead cert in the race, she was only happy to jump at the chance.
The whole time difference thing can be confusing we guess…
The poor woman was caught out in a big way and we’re thinking that her son won’t be receiving any gift packages from home in the coming weeks.
The son wished to remain anonymous because he’d “probably get the wooden spoon for sharing something about her on the Internet”.
