The former Munster player opened up about some of his more difficult moments in the game, and outside it.
Alan Quinlan’s interview on The Late Late Show on Friday night, during which he spoke candidly about his problems with his mental health, has been widely praised for its honesty about life as a top level sportsperson.
Quinlan spoke a lot about worrying about how other people judge him, particularly after his suspension during the Lions tour in 2009 when he was suspended for an alleged eye gouge.
“It was tough, one I regret, but you’ve got to live and keep going.”
