We need to get this guy a ticket to the All Blacks game later this year!
A Late Late audience member has gone viral for his reaction after the person sitting next to him won tickets to the Ireland v Scotland rugby match today (16 March).
The incident occurred on Friday’s episode of the programme, when host Patrick Kielty went into the show’s crowd to talk to Joan Reilly.
Originally from Scotland, Joan married Irish man John – who was her taxi driver when she visited Ireland for a weekend in 1997.
“I met in the taxi. I’d come off the flight from Glasgow. I was coming over for a weekend. John was my taxi driver,” she explained.
“He was a great taxi driver. He picked us up. Dropped us off.”
She then added: “And he was coming to Scotland for a visit and asked could he give us a shout and the rest is history.”
After telling the story, Kielty offered John and Joan two tickets for the Six Nations match.
As Joan seemed delighted with the prize, the man next to her seemed pretty emotional, something we can obviously understand.
Let’s hope he scores a ticket to the All Blacks game later this year.
