Do you want a free car while also doing something good?

Irish Street Artist Pan Cooke is extremely talented.

No character or image is too big or small for Cooke and his drawings range from a portrait of Liam Gallagher squaring up to the microphone, to Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin arm in arm with drinks in tow along with sketches of characters from Rick and Morty.

Therefore, it was no surprise when Opel Ireland came knocking on his door to ask about creating a new type of car for a great cause.

Cooke’s Opel ADAM is the only car of its kind in the country and is equipped with a personal drawing from the artist on the roof.

This opportunity came about after Opel teamed up with the Childhood Cancer Foundation and decided that they would give away a limited edition car to help raise awareness.

The subject of cancer is something that is very personal to Cooke – he lost two of his school friends in recent years because of it.

Cooke feels that childhood cancer, in particular, is extremely hard because the responsibility and knowledge of it all falls on the families’ shoulders as a whole.

On average, four children up to the age of 16 are diagnosed with cancer in Ireland each week and since 2013 the foundation has campaigned for – and funded – improved services for children with cancer and their families.

Cooke spent some time with the children from the foundation to get some inspiration for the car and he said that he wanted to create something that symbolised being young and free.

To be in with a chance of winning the car, while also supporting a fantastic cause, all you have to do is text ‘GOLDOPEL’ to 50300.

The text puts you in contention of winning the car while also donating €4 to the Childhood Cancer Foundation and of that, the foundation will receive a minimum of €3.25.
