Earlier today we got the horrendous news that The Chase has not recorded any new episodes in months because Bradley Walsh is unavailable due to filming commitments with Doctor Who.
While we’re currently living in fear that The Chase will not get back filming any time soon, we must endure because Bradley wouldn’t want us to shed any tears over him and his show.
Daytime TV is littered with some of the best quiz shows you’ll ever see and once you fall into the vortex of their addictiveness, it’s likely you’ll be a slave to their quizzy charms for the rest of your days.
But is it fair to say that quiz shows seem to be dumbing down? Sure, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and The Weakest Link ask general knowledge questions, but it’s more about the drama these days. People want pizazz and charisma, it’s less about the quizzing itself now, much like the way the Eurovision isn’t a song contest anymore.
