Star Wars fans won’t want to miss this.

Seeing Star Wars: A New Hope in the cinema in 1977 must have been an incredible experience.

Minutes into the movie, you knew you were watching something special.

You were transported into a brand new universe. One that has stood the test of time, over 40 years on.

A New Hope is an iconic movie, simple as.

And part of the reason for the reputation the movie has, is the score.

John Williams’ score for A New Hope is without a doubt one of the best musical scores in any movie ever, and you will get a chance to experience it live in Dublin.

The live symphonic concert experience is coming to the 3Arena on 5 December, and will be performed alongside the actual movie itself.

Played by the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra, the concert will be conducted by David Mahoney.

Speaking about the concert, Grant Watmuff, Strategic Partnerships Manager at Disney Music Group, said: “We’re delighted that Star Wars fans will have the opportunity to experience the music of the movie performed live to picture in Ireland for the first time.

“From the opening fanfare to the final note, John Williams’ score for Star Wars: A New Hope is a genre defining master class of cinematic composition.”

Tickets are now on sale and available on Ticketmaster.

We reckon it would be worth it to hear this alone:
