Leave it to the 45th President of the United States of America to shatter the hopes and dreams of the innocent at this festive time of year.
While Donald Trump is no stranger to causing controversy and generally upsetting a great deal of people, this is a brand new feather in his cap.
Perhaps furious at the lonely Christmas Eve he was apparently having, Trump and his wife Melania fielded phone calls with children at the White House in front of the press.
The purpose of this was to tell the children how Santa was doing in his mission to deliver gifts all across the world, and where he might be at that precise moment.
Trump would have this information to hand, you see, as he was working with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), marking their 63rd straight year of tracking Santa’s sleigh on its global rounds.
What they and the children involved probably didn’t expect to discover was the US President going all ‘school bully’ on them and yet, here we are.

Speaking to a seven-year-old boy by the name of Coleman, Trump asked:
“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at seven it’s marginal, right?”
We can’t hear Coleman’s reaction in the above clip, but we’d imagine that it looked something like this:

“Well, you just enjoy yourself,” a chuckling Trump added before moving on to presumably reveal the details of Luke Skywalker’s parentage or how LOST ended for someone who just got the box set for the first time.
