Not a bad way to start the weekend.

The EuroMillions jackpot tonight [August 23] was worth an estimated €100 million.

And while there are tens of thousands of people across the country no doubt hoping to see their numbers come up, it looks like one player in Ireland managed to strike it rich in the draw.

In the main draw, the winning numbers are 4, 17, 35, 42, and 45. The lucky stars are 2 and 8.

Nobody managed to win the grand prize, but someone did with the EuroMillions Plus – which is worth €500,000.

The lucky digits in the EuroMillions Plus draw were 1, 4, 9, 17 and 42.

The National Lottery have confirmed that the winning ticket was sold online.

The jackpot will continue to roll over to the next draw, which will take place on Tuesday.

The last time the EuroMillions jackpot was won was on Friday 19 July, when a lucky player in Spain won €107,683,454.

And the last time the EuroMillions Plus – which is worth €500,000 – was won was on Friday 28 June.

The National Lottery confirmed at the time that the ticket was sold in Cork.

Before that, on June 14, there were two lucky winners of the EuroMillions Plus top prize, with the tickets being sold in Dublin and in the South.

The draw before that, on June 11, there were another two winners – this time, with the winning tickets being sold in Cork and Louth.
