Two men arrested after a fight broke out on the tarmac at Dublin Airport

Two men were arrested at Dublin Airport after a fight broke out on the airport apron, the area of the airport where aircraft are parked, refueled, and boarded.

A spokesperson for Aer Lingus and the Dublin Airport Authority told JOE that “An incident following disembarkation involving two guests who were travelling on the flight has been reported to An Garda Síochána who are handling the matter accordingly.”

The incident is reported to have occurred around 2.50am on Wednesday morning (September 11) following an Aer Lingus flight to Dublin from Mallorca in Spain.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí confirmed to JOE that they are investigating an assault incident between two males, both aged in their 30s.

Both males were detained and released shortly after pending further investigation.
