The latest vaccine figures have been released.
121,900 vaccines have been administered in Ireland as of Wednesday night.
73,100 vaccines have been administered to those working in frontline settings, while 48,800 people in long-term care settings have received the vaccine.
No figures have been released with regards to how many second doses of the vaccine have been administered, but it is known that, beginning this week, second doses of the vaccine were administered to the first recipients of the vaccine in Ireland.
On Thursday, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly told the Dáil that every citizen in Ireland will be offered a Covid-19 vaccine by September.

He has since clarified that, by every “citizen”, he in fact meant every “adult”, and that children were not included in this forecast.
Ireland is expected to receive 3.3 million doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine after approval, which is expected at the end of January.
This is commonly being referred to as a “game changer” with regards to Ireland’s vaccine rollout, as it can be stored in a normal fridge, and is easier to distribute as a result.
In a letter written to Donnelly, CMO Tony Holohan predicted that 1,000 people with Covid-19 will die in Ireland this month, in a letter which states that “it is anticipated that a total of at least 500-1,000 deaths may occur in the month of January”.
There have been 483 deaths related to Covid-19 in Ireland in January to date.
