Bit of an unconventional lullaby but we can’t say we blame her.

An Irish mother has caught the attention of the internet this week after sharing a hilarious video of her soothing her crying baby to sleep by playing Mark McCabe’s Maniac 2000.

The dance song has had massive success since its release in 2000 by then 20-year-old presenter and DJ Mark McCabe on pirate radio station Pulse FM.

The popular rave anthem is well-loved all across Ireland, and it seems it’s not just adults who are fond of the club classic.

TikTok user @nikkiblablacat shared the clip earlier this week and it has since amassed a whopping 103k views on the platform.

In the video captioned “How to get an Irish baby to sleep in seconds”, Nikki’s daughter can be seen breaking into a fit of tears.

Nikki then takes out her phone and begins to play Maniac 2000 which instantly comforts the crying child who falls asleep in her mother’s arms just seconds later.
