We can’t wait for 17 September…
The Morning Show season two trailer has officially dropped, and it looks just as good as its highly rated first season.
And SPOILER ALERT if you haven’t seen watched any of the first season yet…
The show will air exclusively on Apple TV on 17 September, with the all-star cast, including Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon making a return for the second season.
All 10 episodes of the second season will stream weekly on Fridays. Warning – spoilers ahead.
It resumes after Alex’s explosive on-air testimony in season one exposed UBA’s silence regarding sexual harassment complaints made against former news anchor, Mitch Kessler played by Steve Carrell.
The trailer begins with Corey Ellison played by Billy Crudup trying to get Alex Levy played by Aniston back to presenting The Morning Show after she quit the station.
Anchoring the show alongside Bradley Jackson, played by Reese Witherspoon, is newcomer Eric Nomani, played by Hasan Minhaj, who took over Alex’s job after her departure.
The synopsis for The Morning Show’s first episode back reads: “Picking up after the explosive events of season one, season two finds the Morning Show team emerging from the wreckage of Alex and Bradley’s actions to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are comes into play.”
Season two will also see a number of new additions to the cast including Russian Doll star Greta Lee as Stella Bak, The Good Wife actress Julianna Margulies as Laura Peterson, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It star Ruari O’Connor as Ty Fitzgerald, and acting legend Holland Taylor as Cybil Richards.
