And a big week it was for trailers with lots of new footage dropping, which we’ve compiled below for your perusal.

First up is the trailer for Bullet Train, an action-comedy from David Leitch, who directed Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2.

Brad Pitt stars as a trained killer named Ladybug who wants to give up the life but is pulled back in by his handler (Sandra Bullock) in order to collect a briefcase on a bullet train heading from Tokyo to Morioka.

However, things get complicated when he finds a number of other assassins onboard.

Looking as if it will be a breezy yet stylish action romp and boasting a fun supporting cast – Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada and Zazie Beetz all feature in the teaser – Bullet Train will be out in Ireland on 15 July.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Harry Potter prequel series Fantastic Beasts returns with a third installment following the adventures of magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).

With Jude Law returning as young Albus Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen replacing Johnny Depp as franchise villain Gellert Grindelwald, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore arrives in Irish cinemas on 8 April.

All the Old Knives

Two CIA agents and former lovers (Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton) reunite to investigate a terrorist hijacking that occurred six years ago but come to realise all is not what it seems.

Set to be a must-watch for fans of old-school espionage stories in the vein of John le Carré, All the Old Knives comes to Amazon Prime Video on 8 April.

The Bubble

This comedy from director Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) follows a group of actors (including Karen Gillan, Leslie Mann and Pedro Pascal) stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel while working on an action blockbuster about flying dinosaurs.

Boasting a great premise and a trailer with some good gags, The Bubble bursts onto Netflix on 1 April.

Umma

This horror sees Killing Eve’s Sandra Oh play Amanda, a mother living a quiet life on an American farm with her daughter.

However, when the remains of her estranged mother arrive from Korea, Amanda becomes haunted by the fear of turning into her own mum.

Produced by Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead trilogy), Umma – which is Korean for “mother” – is set for an Irish release on 25 March.

Atlanta Season 3

Moving onto TV, Atlanta is back soon for its highly-anticipated third season.

For those unaware, the show focuses on the lives of up-and-coming rapper Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry) and his cousin and manager Earn (series creator Donald Glover), with the new episodes to follow the pair as they tour across Europe.

Widely regarded as one of the best shows of recent years thanks to its blend of comedy and drama (and occasional horror), as well as its narrative and stylistic experimentation, Atlanta season three premieres in the States on 24 March so you can expect in Ireland sometime after that.

Meanwhile, its first two seasons are available to watch here on Disney+.

Slow Horses

Another spy thriller, except this time in series form, Slow Horses follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes.

However, when a young man is abducted, one of the agents (played by Jack Lowden) sees an opportunity to redeem himself.

Co-starring Gary Oldman in what looks like a fun role, Slow Horses premieres on Apple TV+ on 1 April.

The Baby

Last but not least, this British horror-comedy series centres on a woman (Michelle De Swarte) unexpectedly landed with a baby that appears to hold dark powers.

The Baby premieres on HBO (which tends to be a mark of quality) in the States on 24 April, so you can expect it in Ireland sometime later.
