“Why don’t you just go home?! That’s your home!”

In case you didn’t know, some bad weather is on the way to the country this week.

So why risk going outside when you can stay nice and warm indoors watching a great film?

Here’s JOE’s top picks for movies on the small screen this Tuesday (5 April).

Con Air – ITV4 – 9pm

One of Nic Cage’s most iconic roles of all time.

Just make sure to put the bunny back in the box…

The Birds – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

You’ll never look at seagulls the same way again.

Happy Gilmore – Comedy Central – 9pm

Our top pick for tonight is an iconic 90s comedy starring arguably the biggest star of the genre at the time.

Adam Sandler leads the charge as an ice-hockey player turned golfer who takes an unconventional approach to achieving success.

It’s 26 years old, and yet it’s still incredibly quotable.

Well worth a watch for a good laugh this evening.

Resident Evil – Horror Channel – 9pm

The first film in the long-running action-horror series based on the video games.

Coming To America – Film4 – 9pm

Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall play multiple roles in this very-1980s comedy.

True Lies – Channel 5 – 10pm

Arnold Schwarzenegger; dad by day, super-spy by night.

99 Homes – BBC Two – 11.15pm

A very underrated drama starring Andrew Garfield as a single father trying to help his family during the recession.
