Be careful out there…
The first stretches of September continue to bless us with autumnal conditions, dear reader.
And so it is no major shock to learn of a couple of brand new weather warnings from the dedicated team that makes up Met Éireann.
A thunderstorm warning – Status Yellow – has been issued for four counties; Leitrim, Cavan, Sligo and Donegal.
Thunderstorm activity in these regions will lead to “occasional” lightning strikes, with heavy showers possible.
The warning is valid until 7pm on Wednesday, so just a short enough one, then.
Meanwhile, a Status Yellow warning remains in operation for Cork, with heavy showers and thunderstorms also advertised down south. Spot flooding, too, is a possibility.
This warning will stay valid until 8pm on Wednesday evening.
Further showers for the rest of the week into this weekend. 🌦️
Sunny spells gradually increasing by Saturday🌥️
Further unsettled weather is expected for Sunday and early next week.🌦️☔️ pic.twitter.com/0hynZCJORn
