The victim succumbed to his injuries two days after the assault.
Gardaí have re-arrested two males in their 20s on suspicion of murder in relation to the fatal assault of a man in Killinarden in Tallaght.
They are currently being detained in Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
As previously reported, 34-year-old father-of-two Vincent Parson was seriously assaulted in Tallaght on the night of Saturday 24 August.
The man was left with head injuries following an incident in Killinarden Estate.
He was found by passers-by late on Saturday night, and it is understood that the injuries were sustained in and around a nearby public house where he had been socialising.
He was rushed to hospital, and was pronounced dead on the evening of Monday 26 August.
