Tragic news from Dublin this afternoon.

Two men have been found dead following a house fire in the Drimnagh area of Dublin this afternoon (23 May).

Gardaí from the Sundrive Road station are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two men following a house-fire in the Slievebloom Park area of Drimnagh. Reports of the fire first came through to emergency services at around 1.45pm.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “The fire was brought under control by Dublin Fire Brigade and the bodies of two males (thought to be aged in their late 60s and early 70s) were discovered inside the house. They were both pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.”
