Dublin massage business forced to block dozens of men requesting sex

Amara Thai Massage in Killester offers authentic Thai massage provides traditional Thai massage aswell as sports massage and dry cupping.

Owner Lita, who has been in Ireland for 26 years says such requests were few and far between until the last two weeks.

"It actually doesn't happen a lot, until the last two weeks, I've run this business for so long, I know how to deal with these idiots, but its sad," she told JOE.

"Two days ago I posted to Instagram, and was inundated with comments and then calls and messages, I'm sick of it, you're just trying to promote for your business."

Men are contacting the business asking for sexual favours and "happy endings", Lita says.

"I don't have time for this, it's so disappointing when you're trying to make a living and getting your business to grow," she added.

"They're sending messages, on Whatsapp, commenting on the work page, and it's really since the last two weeks of promoting on Tiktok, you get so many idiots.

"Some of them are scammers or bots, but some of them are serious and I just block.

"It's unfair, we're running a legitimate business. I have great customers, people come back to me, because its real massage."

In February this year, a Thai massage parlour in Connemara stopped taking male clients due to the volume of enquiries for sexual services and “happy endings”.

Yosita Fitzpatrick, who is also from Thailand, set up Connemara Thai Massage reported several individuals to An Garda Síochána, and has posted screenshots of some offensive messages on social media.
